They could be your next door neighbour, your plumber, the student you pass on the way to work each morning, your aunty, your butcher – or even the chap that works in the tollbooth at the supermarket carpark.

Blood donors are New Zealand’s unsung heroes – people who give life to other New Zealanders with no expectation of payment or thanks.

You can help too by:

• Becoming a Volunteer for the Blood Service
