On 9th February 2017 I had a 6 hour major surgery. Afterwards, something went wrong. I had to be rushed back into theatre. That night I received two units of blood. The next morning, at 6am, I was rushed back in to theatre again. Later that day I needed another 2 units of blood.

I am so thankful for the people that donate blood for times just like this, and people just like me.

I have always wanted to donate blood but I am not allowed to donate blood because I have a heart condition. My mother, brother, sister, and my oldest niece have all donated blood.
