Rebecca continues to pay it forward

I started donating in my mid twenties - if i had known what my blood type was earlier I would have started a few years ago after seeing first hand at the beginning and end of life stages how important blood donors are. My niece was born prematurely at 30 weeks and 100% would not be the light of our family's life two years later without the generosity of numerous donors and transfusions as she fought to be part of this world. The other end of this was my grandmother passing away last year and received countless blood transfusions in the months before her passing and I am forever great full to those that allowed her to have a few more weeks with us. Blood donation for me is paying it forward to those in need and giving back is a simple joy to be part of something so integral to life.
