Amazing Story

Sharm's donor story

SR 2018
I've been a donor for a while now. I first donated blood when I was 17 in a donation drive organised at school. At that time, it was merely with the intention to try and I thought I'd like to see if I can donate. The first donation was successful to my surprise without any 'dramas'. As I grew up, I realised how precious blood is and the one thing that I always remember is 'blood cannot be manufactured' and it can only be taken from one to be given to another. Ever since then, I've been a happy donor knowing I could help others in need. And being born on the 14th of June, on World Blood Donor Day, it makes it extra special and close to my heart :-)
