Amazing Story
Kairav's Donor Story

My parents are doctors and they are my inspiration.
I supported an organisation that helps children battling cancer back home in India. While working with them, I was introduced to platelet donations and started being a donor myself.
When I moved to New Zealand in early 2018, I wanted to support the local community in my new home. I reached out to the New Zealand Blood Service. After the necessary checks, it was confirmed that I could donate plasma.
I am glad that since then, I have been able to donate blood (plasma) with the NZ Blood Service a total of 15 times and counting.
I am grateful for the good health to be able to contribute and make a positive difference in this way and hope that with the support of my partner and family, I am able to continue to keep doing so.
Thanks to staff at the Epsom Donor Center, many of whom are now familiar faces, for doing their best to make it a smooth experience for donors.
